High marks for performance, no marks on the bridge of your nose.
Philips Respironics' Amara View Full Face CPAP Mask with Headgear opens the line of visibility during sleep therapy by omitting the traditional forehead support. The compact, full face mask is designed to seal around the mouth and nostrils with the help of an innovative nostril opening. The mask is secured by positioning the nasal opening under the nose and adjusting the headgear to a comfortable fit.

Open Vision Design
This design offers a wide range of visibility. This full face mask is controlled by the strong seal created around the base of the nose and mouth, with additional support provided by headgear extending from the front of the mask to the crown of the head. Unlike other full face masks, it does not need a forehead support to steady the mask.
Under the Nose Cushion
A rectangular hole is found at the top of the full face cushion. This nostril opening is intended to allow the necessary pressure into the nostrils without irritating the nose. Gently glide your nose over the nostril opening to find the intended fit. Please Note: The user must keep their nose above the nostril opening, not letting it fall through the crevice. CPAP therapy is impaired when the nose is not securely placed over the opening.
Furthering the minimalistic design, the Amara View Full Face CPAP Mask with Headgear is composed of lightweight materials. The soft, silicone full face cushion snaps into a lightweight frame, which covers only the nostrils and mouth. The frame and full face cushion do not extend past the base of the nose, relieving the user from bearing the weight of the mask on the bridge of their nose. Instead, the headgear evenly displaces the weight of the mask to help lower the number of pressure points. The headgear should fit comfortably, be careful not to over-tighten.
Universal Size Mask Frame
The Amara View Full Face Mask features a universal mask frame. This is a convenience feature which allows the user to easily replace the compatible cushions when needed. The Amara View Full Face cushions in size small, medium, and large are compatible with this mask frame. If the time has come to replace your cushion, make the selection without re-purchasing the entire mask. Simply find the Amara View full face cushion, select the correct size, and replace.
Adjustable Headgear with Crown Strap
The Amara View Full Face mask features a innovative headgear with four points of adjustment around the mask frame and a fifth point of adjustment using a crown strap at the top of the head. The crown strap crosses directly over the top of the head, creating a halo shape around the back of the user's head. The number of adjustment options creates a design that helps promote a more secure grip and even distribution of pressure.
Short Tube with Elbow and Swivel
Respironics designed a short tube for the Amara View Full Face Mask. The tube extends from the front of the mask frame and connects to the cuff of the CPAP hose. Attach the built-in elbow to the mask frame and secure the swivel to the cuff of the CPAP hose. The flexible tubing moves freely with the motion of the user, giving the user more mobility. The 360 degree motion provided by the swivel causes less of a pull on the CPAP hose and increases the user's chance of maintaining a strong seal throughout the night.
Quick Release Headgear Clips
Waking up in the middle of the night can be difficult. With quick release headgear clips, simply rotate and lift the clips to swiftly remove the mask from your face. The headgear is designed to maintain its shape while the clips are detached, so re-applying the headgear might be accomplished with ease.
New patients prefer the Amara View over the leading full face mask by a margin of 4 to 1. Additionally, 4 out of 5 new patients prefer Amara View’s overall appeal to the leading full face mask.
I have been using a total face mask, only two types available and they are both big! The Amara View does exactly what I need and puts no pressure on the bridge of my nose as I have had skin surgery and it breaks down very easily. I am also a mouth breather and this mask addresses all of those needs. It does take a little adjusting to get the head gear straps right, but you should not over tighten the straps as the pressure of the air should provide the final seal. So try to fit it so it is just touching the skin lightly, then turn on your machine and check for any leaks and retighten the strap(s) as needed..
It is so nice to have this option. It is so quite and comfortable as compared to my old huge total face masks, I have bought 2 of these so far in the past few months.
I am a side sleeper and it works well for me.
I wish the sizing guide they offer would print to actual size and that makes it hard to determine exactly which size to go with as I boarder on a M/L. I have bought the Medium twice and may try a Large insert next time I purchase.
Additionally, the cost is better than at other sites and much better than at the clinic! So nice to have the No Insurance option for my CPAP supplies!
Really wanted to like this product but after using it for a few nights the tip of my nose became irritated and small sores formed possibly due to the plastic of the mask pressing against it. After I returned to my old mask sores went away.
I really, really, like this mask. It doesn't leave marks on my face or give me that claustrophobic feeling that some full face masks do. The problem came with my heated hose. I asked if it would connect and was assured twice that it would. I didn't. I ended up duct taping them together. Not ideal, but it works, sort of.
I bought this to have in case I get sick and have a stuffed up nose and have to mouth breathe. I have the dreamwear but you can't really use it with a stuffy nose. Just so happened the day the
Amara View arrived I had some allergy issues with a stuffy nose and I was so glad I had made this purchase. I've actually gone to using the Amara View every night instead of the Dreamwer because I get better quality sleep with the Amera View.
I have been using a CPAP machine for over 10 years now and have had various masks. I have always had issues with leaks or my masks leaving deep marks on my face. I took a chance on ordering this mask and I am so glad I did. I love it!!! I have had this mask for a week now and have been sleeping like a baby. No air leaks.
I've used a full face mask since starting CPAP therapy more than 8 years ago. I've tried nasal masks and nasal pillows but couldn't tolerate not being able to exhale. This face mask is the closest thing to a nasal mask there is for those of us who need to exhale through our mouths. It's comfortable and doesn't slip and slide off the nose. It doesn't look like it will work, but it does.
If you must wear a mask, as I must, and your mouth hangs open, as mine does, then you need either a full mask, this mask, or death.
Wearing this thing is better than having Cthulhu on your face, and better than any other full or half mask I have tried. You could consider making a note to yourself that when you die and meet God, you ask Him why one's native breathing mechanisms doesn't just do its job without you having to strap a clumsy apparatus around your skull and scare the shit out of your family.
Doesn't leak much if you roll around a lot like I do.
Convolute inside very difficult to clean thoroughly. Recommend dish soap and lots of digging into crevices.
Not ungodly expensive
Hardens and begins to leak at about six months
I replaced a lower priced mask with this one. The quality is better, it fits better, it stays in place all night.
I have tried many masks over the years and have found this mask to be the most comfortable one that covers both your nose and mouth. It fits over the tip of the nose and does not invade the eye area. You can actually wear eye glasses and watch tv in bed while your mask is on.
